The culture in universities have changed a lot. In the past students were more focused in studies but now the students are more concerned in having a boy friend and girl friend relationship rather than concentrating on studies. It is like they cant survive in this world if they don’t have a boy friend or a girl friend. Interaction between boys and girls have increased. Students now prefer hanging in groups, girls don’t mind if boys shake their hands or put their arms around their shoulders, their is so much frankness like they are brother and sisters. It is not only about talking to each other a lot or hanging out in groups or putting your hand around each other shoulders, students have become so desperate, you will see couples smoking together in cafes or you will see them making out, our Religion does not allow all this.
If you talk about clothing, our Religion tells us that girls should wear such clothes in which only their face, hand and feet are visible. If you talk about how girls are dressed in universities, it is totally the opposite what our Religion tells us. You will see majority of the girls wearing tight jeans and short shirts, they will dress in a vulgar way so that people can give compliments like “You are looking so sexy today” or “You are looking so hot today”, girls get fascinated by such comments. You will even see some girls wearing see-through shirts, basically in my opinion majority girls aim is to attract maximum boys, I really don’t understand how parents allow their daughters to dress like this. I have even heard that some girls come to university wearing burqa because their parents force them but as soon as they enter the university, they go to the washroom to change their clothes and when its time to go home, they will wear the burqa again. They don’t realize that they can dodge their parents but you cant dodge ALLAH, ALLAH is watching everything. Well I am happy to see that their are still some girls who dress in an extremely decent way, their dressing is not only decent, they have an amazing personality as well, they are very simple and modest. The sad thing is such girls are very less in universities.
Now we should look at different activities of students in the university, I have studied in Comsats Islamabad for 3 and half months. Now I am studying in Lahore School of Economics.
Students in cafeteria of Comsats Islamabad.
Students of Architecture department in Comsats Islamabad.
Volleyball match between UCL and FC.
A rainy day in Lse.
Students playing basketball.
This is the video of one of my best day in Comsats Islamabad.
The most disappointing thing is that majority of the students are moving away from our Religion. They will have time to play sports in university or they will have time to spend time in libraries and cafes but they will never have time to Pray. Seriously how much time does it takes to offer your Prayers? When you can do all the other things in university then why cant you offer your Prayers? Don’t you know the first question on the Day Of Judgement will be asked about Prayers? Sometimes I really think that are we really living in an Islamic Country.
Prayer is the key to all the treasures in this life and the Hereafter.
